Text Box: Men’s hairstyles have definitely gone through evolution. Anywhere from the George Washington days to Brad Pitt. So put down that baby powder and pick your poison. Sumotech, SumoWax, StylingWax, Brilliantine, Grooming Cream, Bb Gel, or Bb Gellac!

Whatever your lifestyle or personality might be there’s a hairstyle for you. Some of my favorite products to use on men’s thick dense hair are Crème de Coco Shampoo and Conditioner, Gentle Shampoo and Super Rich Conditioner. On fine hair, Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner work great. Another great shampoo is Tonic this has tea tree oil in that is great for the scalp. Prep and Tonic Lotions are your starters, followed by Styling Lotion, Styling Crème or Thickening Spray. Choosing a styling product depends on the finished look you are looking for. If you like a matt finish little to no shine go with Grooming Cream or Sumotech. On the other end SumoWax, Styling Wax, and Brilliantine add shine and hold.
Text Box: Let’s talk Classic:
Inspired from the 1950’s slick back or wet look is a classic. (I do not I repeat I do not mean O.D on the gel). This look can be both business and for a classy night out. Clean cut around the ears with a natural hair line (nothing that looks like a stencil was used…ewww). Length long enough to create a part left or right you are the judge.
All Natural hair:
Spices of life salt and pepper! Weather you choose to color you hair or not keeping up with it is key. It is possible to color your hair and still look natural (ask one of our very talented colorist about this). Keep the hair line clean with getting neck trims in between cuts. (If you wearing it on the longer side don’t go past the collar.)

The Buzz about the Buzz:
The buzz cut is also a classic in its own way. Very low maintenance is appealing to the men with busy schedules or if you simply cannot imagine spending more than two Text Box: minutes on their hair. This cut looks its best when sides and top are the same length. The hair line is very tailored and neck trims are a must, to keep this style always looking fresh. The best part about this is, it’s all done with scissors at Hip no buzzing noise in you hear. By doing so the hair grows out a lot nicer.

All that work to look Messy:
Don’t want a short clean cropped cut?! This look allows enough length on sides and top to give your hair come character. Depending on you preference on the hair line it can either be tighter and cleaned up or broken up and long. This makes for a great razor cut. The razor will give the hair the perfect texture to create this messy look. If you work in a creative environment Text Box: The evolution of men’s hairstyles—By Yuri
