Winter Natural Look

By Nick Matthews

Natural looks have been the theme for the past few seasons now, Lighter in the warmer months, darker in the fall.

This holiday season the bold looks are back. Stronger, thicker panels of bright blondes, coppers and most importantly cool violets. I’m not talking zebra chunks from 2000, but more of an iridescent level. Look to the left you’re a red head, Look to the right you’re chocolate brown. Look up to see if it’s snowing and layers of blonde peek through, causing everyone to stop and admire the art your wearing on your head.

Guess what Men? You are back in the hair color circuit as well. Don’t worry, it’s anything but boyband. Thin black slices placed through out the hair exaggerate any haircut and blend away grey without looking like a drop of color has touched your head.

If there is anytime to go over the top, It ‘s this time of year. Take a risk, add that extra strong tone and give yourself the gift of attention you deserve.

Winter dry hair - Barbara Coleman

Almost everyone has dry hair in the winter, After all the fun in the sun all summer long your hair is in need of some repair. Luckily there are shampoos, conditioners, and products to help assist you with all of you needs.

Dry hair will often begin with itchy scalp. If the itching is mild I recommend trying Tonic shampoo from Bumble and Bumble, it contains tea tree oils witch moisturize and act as a natural antiseptic. Then you should follow with tonic spray also from bumble and bumble, Apply roots to ends before you blow dry. This will assist in taming the scalp irritation. If the scalp irritation continues or gets progressively worse, try using the scalp rebalancing treatment also from Bumble and Bumble. This will help control any flakes or itchy that is occurring on the scalp. The treatment lines from bumble are design to help treat and prevent the specific needs of each person.

The Dehydration Therapy Treatment from Bumble and Bumble is specifically for the dry hair that will occur in the winter months. You can start by using the daily shampoo and conditioner and the complex which stays on your hair to hydrate and protect it from the cold. Then if your hair is really in need of some definite moister apply the the dehydration therapy mask with heat for 10 to 15 minutes once a week, this will begin to repair your dried out limp locks. If you feel that you need a little moister I would recommend using the Crème De Coco shampoo and conditioner from Bumble and Bumble. Now that your hair is itch free and all moisturized that cold might still give you another problem static! The best way to resolve this problem is to just take a dab of Brilliantine and pulling your hair from the end and work your way up. This will give your hair a polished static free look.

Hopefully these helpful tips will keep your hair clean, moisturized, and shiny, and get you and your hair though the blistering cold winter months.
